We set up all our gear in an old commune in Waipu and rocked the shit out of some kauri trees.

Interviews:

2015:

Hangin’ Out with the Eversons Episode 1 of 1

I guess this is the precursor to our podcast. Features shenanigans and us sat on our lawn in Grey Lynn, Auckland.

Music Videos:

2016:

Loser

We shot this video in 2011 but didn't slap it together until it had gained some nostalgia value.

2015:

Emily

This may be our number one video. Our first collaboration with Auckland directing duo Thunderlips via Candlelit Pictures. Set in a dumpling shop, starring the whole band (feat. Jacob Moore), and it’s got JJ Fong from Flat3 fucking Mark up.

The Emilys - クールでね (Play It Cool)

This is off a concept EP we did where we were a cartoon band called The Emilys and it was all in Japanese. Animated by Trophy Wife!

The Emilys - ただの幽霊 (I'm Just A Ghost)

This is off a concept EP we did where we were a cartoon band called The Emilys and it was all in Japanese. This is also a reworking of a Boa Constrictors song. Fucking Inception style layers over here.  Animated by Trophy Wife!

The Emilys - 悪魔と契約結んだ (Deal With The Devil)

This is off a concept EP we did where we were a cartoon band called The Emilys and it was all in Japanese. Animated by Trophy Wife!

2014:

What the fuck were we even doing in 2014? I think we decided it was a bad year for music and just stayed home playing playstation.

2013:

Marriage

Ralph Matthews did this video for us where our faces were swapped onto fish and chips then we turn into puppets. Princess Chelsea is in it too. We met James Watson on this one and he produced a bunch of our videos for the Stuck in New Zealand album.

Creepy (Japanese)

It’s the video for Creepy but in Japanese!

Creepy

Hell yeah this video is intense! Painstakingly animated by Hadley Donaldson with an Adventure Time vibe, extremely high concept and features a perverted monster in a fez, badass cartoon Eversons and a phonecall from Jonathan Bree at Lil Chief Records that’s pretty much exactly like all our dealings with Jonathan.

2012:

Terminally Lame

Video for the reworked version of Terminally Lame. A strange one. Tim was so hung over in this video he looks visibly ill and had to lie down in between takes.

Could It Ever Get Better?

Fully animated video by our main man Ian Hart!! Lots of yarn, one of our best videos.

2011:

Hyacinth Girl

Another one from the EP, we wrote the story for the video and went up to Auckland where someone else did all the rest. It’s super cheesy and pretty weird. It’s a bit too cute but people tell me they like it. Starring Jess as the cat.

I’m a Conservative

Our first video, directed and edited by Blair with copious amounts of number eight wire. We just got the coolest things we could find (Where the Wild Things Are backdrop and Blair’s dad’s Corvette) and directly ripped off a Beach Boys video while pretending we weren’t hungover.
